About the course

The Offshore Wind Upskilling Course is a three‑day, practitioner‑led program designed to give working professionals a clear, end‑to‑end understanding of how offshore wind projects are developed, designed, built, operated, and ultimately retired in the U.S. market. Day 1 focuses on how offshore wind projects are conceived, evaluated, and advanced through early development. Participants examine the U.S. offshore wind market landscape, policy and regulatory drivers, and the realities of leasing, permitting, and stakeholder engagement. The day emphasizes feasibility analysis—wind resource assessment, metocean conditions, geophysical and geotechnical surveys—and how these inputs shape early design decisions, risk allocation, and project economics. This day is essential for understanding why projects look the way they do before steel ever enters the water.
