About the course

The Offshore Wind Upskilling Course is a three‑day, practitioner‑led program designed to give working professionals a clear, end‑to‑end understanding of how offshore wind projects are developed, designed, built, operated, and ultimately retired in the U.S. market. Day 2 transitions from development into execution. Participants explore offshore wind farm components, turbine and foundation design choices, layout optimization, and the project design envelope approach used in U.S. permitting. Fixed‑bottom and floating foundations are covered in depth, followed by construction logistics, vessel strategies, ports, supply chain considerations, and lessons learned from recent projects. Floating offshore wind concepts, technologies, and infrastructure are introduced alongside U.S.‑specific constraints such as port readiness and the Jones Act. This day explains how offshore wind projects are physically built—and why construction and logistics often determine project success.
